The download weighs in at a mere 6.9MB download, so that it won’t take long. Installing the application is nothing more complicated than clicking Next a few times in a simple setup wizard, so that it won’t take long either. Seemingly aware of your desire to get things done rapidly, Registry Cleaner Pro will automatically go to work when you first launch the application. It will start scanning your PC, identify problems, and present them to you.

As mentioned above, Registry Cleaner Pro is meant for the average computer user who wants to get the best performance from his or her PC. This fact is obvious from the application’s user friendliness. At the top there are 4 tabs: Home, Disk, Optimize and Settings. What you see below the tabs, in the application’s main pane depends on the tab you click.

The Home tab presents a Registry Cleaner, Disk Cleaner, Clear Temporary Files, and a Startup Manager button. You can use these buttons to find and repair Registry problems, free up disk space by removing junk and temp files, and speed up boot times by disabling items that automatically run at startup. From the buttons in the Disk tab you can remove junk files, uninstall applications you no longer need, clear temp files and remove internet and Windows recent history, repair corrupt desktop and start menu shortcuts, and create/restore/remove restore points. From the Optimize tab you can view a list of running processes, fine tune and optimize your PC, disable startup items, find and repair Registry problems, defragment the Registry, and enable/disable browser helper objects.

To manually start a scan, you need only click the big green button that says Start Scan on it; you will find the button in the Home tab. If you don’t want to do things yourself, you can schedule a scan to be performed automatically. One is already scheduled in the application by default – every Saturday at 15:00 (that’s 3pm).

Registry Cleaner Pro is only free to try, it is not freeware. The application will scan and will identify problems that affect your PC, but it will not fix them. Access to the application’s problem-fixing functions is granted only after you register.
